Understand the basic physics of ultrasound
Understand the basic operation of an ultrasound unit including probe selection, presets, depth, focal zone, pre-and post-processing and gray scale manipulation.
Be able to identify the urinary bladder, right and left kidneys, spleen, liver, gall bladder, prostate, small intestine and colon and stomach. Small part identification will include the adrenal glands, medial iliac lymph nodes and the pancreatic limbs.
